When ratepayers sell their properties, a final water metre reading needs to be requested.
Usually, when solicitors or lawyers request the rates enquiries/ report, they also ask for a final reading to be booked.
At least 5 working days notice is required for this.
Written request is required: Water Meter - Final Read - My CODC
The final water reading is booked by the Water Billing Officer, a service request is created by her so CSOs can verify date and time for the reading.
NOTE: CODC does not perform water metre reading for end of lease agreements, customers can do this themselves and work out the figure.
