The Council sets a waste management charge which contributes to environmental education, closed landfill monitoring, and districtwide waste and recycling collection activities such as public bins.
All residential land in the district is liable for this charge which is a uniform amount per rating unit.
For the 2026-27 financial year - Waste Management charge (no bins) - Per property - $138.86.
Everyone pays this amount, and it is separate from the bin charges.
