Manager's Certificate

To manage any licensed premises such as an on-licence, off-licence, club licence or special licence, including conveyances such as aircraft and motor vehicles, a manager's certificate is required. This is issued for 12 months, the renewal lasts 3 years.

How to apply for a Manager's Certificate: Manager's certificate - Apply - My CODC

You'll need: 

• have completed and passed an alcohol licensing course
• have applied for a Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)
• have at least 6 months experience in the NZ hospitality industry
• be 20 years of age or older

How to renew your Manager's Certificate: Manager's certificate - Renew - My CODC

You'll need to renew it before it expires. If the Manager's Certificate expires, you'll have to apply for a new one.
